HYBRID ENGINE

Hino’s unique hybrid engine features both a diesel and electric engine with a combined capacity of four litres. The electric motor works primarily in city driving, while the diesel engine runs on highways (constant speed). The reduction in usage of the diesel engine in stop/start or city driving ensures substantial reductions in fuel consumption. The electric motor also enhances driveability by providing instantaneous torque from launch.
